Beyond Preliminary Phonics Prerequisite Sounds Class Grid Set. The class grid set provides individual grids for students to learn their phonetic sounds and to use for activities and games. A grid is placed on each student desk so that students can use the grids for games like sound-spotting and sound bingo. The phonetic sounds are the scaffolding necessary for reading and writing confidence. They must be explicitly taught.
The Beyond Preliminary Phonics Prerequisite Sound grid (Lower Primary) is the visual representation of the 40 phonetic sounds (with and without prompts) to be taught in the school year. The grids with prompts are used for learning activities while the grids without prompts are used for data collection. The Prerequisite Teacher Wordbook, Student Workbook and Sound Book accompany the Prerequisite sound grid.
