Description
Beyond Preliminary Phonics Teacher Wordbook 2 comprises phonetic sounds (123-162). The Beyond Preliminary Phonics program is an individualised reading and spelling program designed to explicitly teacher the 252 phonetic sounds. The phonetic sounds are necessary for reading and spelling competence. Students are pretested to highlight individual student focus reading and spelling focus words.
The program is best suited as a whole school program but also as a single classroom or intervention program. Each word list comprises approximately forty words of ranging ability. This allows for differentiation based on student learning needs. The reading and spelling program has a three tier approach, whole class, small group and individual instruction. There is a focus on games, partner work to ensure the necessary repetition for long term learning.
Workbook 2 provides the next 40 Beyond Preliminary Phonics phonetic sounds and their accompanying word lists. A new sound is introduced each week in the 40 week school year. The Teacher Wordbook provides 40 phonetic sounds and their accompanying word lists.
Beyond preliminary Phonics Teacher Wordbook 2 is used with Student Workbook 2, Student Sound Books, the Teacher Grid Set, the Class Grid Set and the Manual.
